Haley Park

2025 Intern

Hayley (she/they) is a doctoral student at the College of Information at the University of Maryland, College Park, where she researches the intersection of immigrant information experiences, participatory methodologies, and the critical examination of technology. She holds a BA in Comparative Literature and Film Studies, as well as an MLIS from the Information School at the University of Washington, Seattle. During her time at UW, she was honored as a Husky 100 recipient for contributions to library services. As a former library worker and active member of library communities, Hayley has received several accolades, including being named an ALA Spectrum Scholar and an ALA Emerging Leader. Her writing has been published in The Library Quarterly and The Political Librarian, where she explores topics such as the history of the LIS profession and library advocacy. Hayley currently resides in the greater D.C. area and enjoys watching films and quiet moments working with air-dry clay, and taking walks.
