Arianna Alcaraz

Intern

Arianna Alcaraz (she/her) aspires to make a meaningful impact on the field as an academic librarian, with a focus on critical librarianship as scholarship and embodied practice. As an MLIS student at the University of Alberta, Arianna has relished the opportunity to pursue multiple fields of inquiry within library and information studies, including the history of libraries and library research, critical assessment and evaluation, and social justice and equity work in LIS. She has a particular interest in copyright issues and the vital role that libraries play in facilitating equitable access to information, which ultimately led her to Library Futures.
